The restaurant was good for breakfast, I tried delicious dishes. The venue's position was very central. Easily reached Asian Harvest, located within a close distance from the hotel, had lunch/dinner there.

My stay was very nice on the night of the local Hurling Final. The room of the hotel was well-designed and new-fashioned with a huge double bed, bedroom. Everything was nice. The check in was speedy, the staff was outstandingly accommodating and incredibly nice. Its location was good and unbeatable, very close to a pub, the nature reserve and the shopping center.

Save your time
A lengthy stay revealed multiple disappointments. The room was outdated. Furnishings needed attention and the bathroom cleanliness was wanting. Dining service was slow, with errors common during busy meals. Noise from adjacent rooms disrupted my comfort, overshadowing the friendly staff's efforts. All these postulates.

having to query item on my account - and very poor welcome to the dining room at breakfast - especially since I was travelling on my own - had to ask for a table for two - plenty of them - having been nearly not quite ushered - more of a nod - to a table for four!!

Easy parking. Excellent leisure centre. Large lobby. Bar food available all day.
Found beds quite hard. Stayed in disabled room but not really large enough for purpose. Breakfast could not be accessed by wheelchair user without help.

The dinner was tasty, and the staff were friendly. A great spot for a group vacation, it's convenient to check out the local attractions. Just note that the breakfast could use more variety to start your day right.
The bathroom fan was really loud, making it hard to keep the light on at night without disturbing anyone.

I had read complaints from previous customer reviews but I am so glad to say I was not put off by them. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short break at the hotel. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. The food was excellent and great value for money. There was also a great leisure complex for the whole family to enjoy. We found the members of staff very attentive and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend the Arklow Bay Hotel and will definately use it again in the near future.
